A total of 13,018 applicants have registered for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) in Jigawa State, according to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
In a statement, Mukarram Bello Adamu, the public relations officer for JAMB, confirmed that the registration process took place at 12 accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers across the state.
The statement listed the approved registration centers, including:
- JAMB Headquarters, Mechanic Village, Dutse

- Jigawa State College of Education, Gumel (Two Centers)

JAMB also disclosed that 1,290,715 candidates across Nigeria have registered for the 2025 UTME and Direct Entry exams.
Despite the availability of 12 CBT centers, some candidates in Jigawa State reported delays and difficulties due to insufficient registration centers.
Many applicants were reportedly stranded for two to three days, with some sleeping on the streets and in mosques while waiting for their turn to register.
Concerned candidates have urged the Jigawa State Government to establish additional CBT centers to ease the registration process and reduce student hardship.
