Three Years After Encouraging Women to 'Do More' for Cheating Husbands, Rev. Charlotte Oduro Faces Divorce
Apostle Solomon Oduro, the founder of Solomon Oduro Ministries, has formally announced the dissolution of his marriage to renowned marital counselor Rev. Charlotte Oduro.
In a statement released on Monday, February 10, 2025, Apostle Oduro stated that the decision to part ways was reached after much prayer, discussion, and careful consideration due to irreconcilable differences.
According to the announcement, the couple had been separated for three years and had already finalized both legal and customary divorce proceedings last year.
“As a man of God, a public figure, and a role model to many, I feel a responsibility to formally inform the public to prevent misunderstandings and speculation,” Apostle Oduro stated.
He also requested understanding and prayers from the public, encouraging his family, friends, and the Christian community to support both himself and Rev. Charlotte Oduro during this period of transition.
“May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guide all hearts and minds during this season,” he concluded.
Rev. Charlotte Oduro, who has been known for her controversial marital advice, previously made headlines in 2022 when she encouraged wives to remain patient with their husbands, even in cases of infidelity.
Speaking in an interview on Okay FM in Accra, she emphasized the importance of understanding, forgiveness, and emotional maturity in handling marital conflicts.
“It’s not right for anyone to cheat. Yes, it is wrong, but we have all made mistakes. We should listen, understand, and respond with wisdom rather than reacting emotionally,” she said.
Following the divorce announcement, many have expressed their opinions, with some reflecting on Rev. Oduro’s past teachings on marriage and forgiveness. However, Apostle Oduro has urged the public to approach the matter with grace and understanding.
