APC Chieftain Mumuni Urges Governors to Communicate Decisions Clearly

Ambassador Abayomi Nurain Mumuni, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has advised governors nationwide to ensure proper communication of government decisions before implementation.

His statement comes in response to the closure of public schools in several northern states, including Kano, Kebbi, Katsina, and Bauchi, during Ramadan.

The decision has sparked widespread debate, with some stakeholders opposing the move.

Mumuni emphasized the importance of clearly informing the public about the reasons behind such decisions.

In a statement signed by his media assistant, Rasheed Abubakar, the APC leader stressed that adequate communication could prevent confusion and ensure parents, students, and the public fully understand the rationale.

“I am writing to address the recent school closures in northern Nigeria during Ramadan. It is my understanding that this decision was made to accommodate fasting students in boarding schools.

“While the intentions behind this move are commendable, it is crucial that state governments communicate such decisions more effectively.

“Many parents may not fully understand the challenges fasting poses for students, especially those in boarding schools. If not properly managed, it could affect their health and academic performance.

“To foster understanding and community support, I recommend that schools or relevant authorities provide clear and timely information regarding such closures,” Mumuni stated.
