Emir of Zazzau Calls for Unity to Secure Nigeria’s Future

Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, the Emir of Zazzau, has emphasized the importance of unity, warning that continued division threatens future generations. He attributed many of the country’s challenges to a growing lack of social cohesion.

Speaking during an Iftar meeting with the Zazzau Emirate’s District Heads, the Emir expressed deep concern over rising social alienation. He urged people to put aside their differences and embrace forgiveness for the greater good.

“We must come together and foster unity. If we have wronged anyone, we should seek forgiveness. Holding onto grievances will only deepen our divisions,” he stated.

The Emir cautioned that persistent discord could have long-term consequences, making it difficult to achieve progress and stability. “Without unity, we cannot secure a better future for our people. If we continue on this path of division, we risk leaving behind a legacy of discord,” he warned.

Additionally, he lamented the weakening of relationships among former acquaintances and colleagues, noting that many no longer maintain connections or show concern for one another.

“This is not just a problem in Zaria or Kaduna State—it affects the entire Northern region. The challenges we face today are widespread, and they require a collective effort to resolve,” he added.

The Iftar gathering was attended by all district heads of the Emirate, along with the governor’s representative and the secretary to the state government.
