FCT Police Recover Stolen Vehicle, Arrest Armed Robbery Suspects
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has successfully recovered a stolen 2017 Toyota Corolla with registration number 01C 11 NS and arrested two suspects involved in an armed robbery. The vehicle was stolen at gunpoint at Kabusa Junction in Apo.
According to intelligence sources, the arrest followed a distress call made at approximately 10:15 p.m. by Ayuba Wandai Usman of Plot 1980, Apo Resettlement. He reported that three armed men had stolen his sister's car.
Acting swiftly, police officers traced the stolen vehicle to an unfinished building on Oladipupo Diya Street in Durumi. Upon arrival, they found two suspects attempting to dismantle the car. When the suspects tried to escape, they were quickly apprehended and taken into custody.
During a subsequent police raid on the unfinished building, ten men and three women were also arrested. Law enforcement officers recovered several tools suspected to have been used for illegal activities.
Police sources confirmed that the stolen vehicle had already been tampered with before being recovered. It has since been moved to the station for further investigation. Authorities also revealed that the suspects are providing critical information to aid ongoing inquiries.
In light of this incident, security agencies have urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activity. The FCT Police Command reassured the public of their continued efforts to combat crime and ensure safety in the region.
