Governor Uba Sani Reaffirms Commitment to Women’s Empowerment on International Women’s Day

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has pledged that his administration will continue to ensure equal opportunities for women in governance and development.

Marking International Women’s Day, Governor Sani reaffirmed this commitment in a statement posted on his verified Facebook page.

“Today is International Women’s Day, a day set aside to celebrate women and reflect on their struggles for equality, recognition, and better opportunities.

“I want to specially salute Nigerian women, and indeed women around the world, for their incredible strength, resilience, and unwavering determination. Despite facing numerous challenges, they continue to break barriers, shatter glass ceilings, and contribute immensely to society.

“This year’s theme, ‘Accelerate Action: Turning Promises into Progress,’ is a call to action. It reminds us that while we have made promises of equality, justice, and opportunities, we must now transform those promises into real progress.

“In Kaduna State, we are already taking practical steps to eliminate barriers hindering women’s participation in socio-economic development. We have established strong legal frameworks to ensure the success of women’s empowerment programs.

“To achieve sustained progress, women must be given equal access to opportunities. Together, we can build a more inclusive and equitable society for all,” Governor Sani stated.
