The announcement was made by SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the spokesperson for the Jigawa State Police Command. According to him, the initiative is designed to improve marksmanship and security training for military personnel, law enforcement agencies, and other security stakeholders.

Shiisu emphasized that this development is part of Governor Umar Namadi’s broader strategy to strengthen military and security capabilities across the state.

“This facility will not only serve our security forces but also create opportunities for training programs that will improve the preparedness of our personnel in combating crime and ensuring public safety,” he stated.

The shooting range will provide a controlled environment for security personnel to conduct tactical drills and training exercises. This project aligns with one of the twelve key priorities outlined in Governor Namadi’s agenda, which focuses on enhancing security across Jigawa State.
