Nigerian Air Force Destroys Terrorist Hideouts in Precision Airstrike

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has conducted a successful night airstrike, targeting terrorist enclaves in Degbewa and Chikide on March 16, 2025. The operation carried out in the Mandara Mountains, dealt a severe blow to the insurgents by disrupting their activities and weakening their stronghold.

The airstrike was launched based on credible Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) reports, which indicated that Ali Ngulde, a notorious terrorist leader, and his fighters were gathering at the targeted location. Satellite images also confirmed militant activity in the area, including heavily fortified structures with solar-powered installations, suggesting the presence of an operational command center.

In response, the NAF executed a precise night assault, catching the insurgents off guard. The coordinated attack destroyed key infrastructure, ignited large fires, and eliminated numerous terrorists, significantly reducing their ability to regroup and launch further attacks.

The strike on Boko Haram hideouts has further weakened insurgent positions, allowing ground forces to move in and take control of the battlefield with greater ease. According to the NAF, this successful night operation demonstrates the Air Force’s expanding capability to conduct both day and night missions, ensuring that terrorists can no longer operate under the cover of darkness.

The Nigerian Air Force remains committed to leveraging air power to dismantle terrorist networks through sustained precision strikes. This operation is part of broader efforts to restore stability and achieve lasting peace in the region.
