The announcement was made in a statement on Thursday by Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.

According to Onanuga, the appointments were made following the exit of previous board representatives from various organizations. The new members are expected to utilize their expertise to further NCDMB’s mission of monitoring and promoting Nigerian involvement in the oil and gas industry.

“The NCDMB remains committed to exploring ways to strengthen its oversight and facilitation roles in boosting local content within the industry,” Onanuga stated.

The following individuals have been appointed to the NCDMB Governing Council:

  1. Olusegun Omosehin – Representing the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM)
  2. Wole Ogunsanya – Representing the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN)
  3. Sam Azoka Onyechi – Representing the Nigerian Content Consultative Forum (NCCF)
  4. Owei Oyanbo – Representing the Ministry of Petroleum Resources
