Rivers Muslim Leaders Urge Tinubu to Reinstate Governor Fubara’s Full Authority

Muslim leaders in Rivers State have called on President Bola Tinubu to reconsider the state's emergency declaration and restore full authority to the suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

During a visit to Governor Fubara’s private residence in Port Harcourt on Monday, the leaders emphasized that despite the political challenges, Fubara has continued to govern the state effectively.

The delegation included representatives from 20 Islamic organizations, such as the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs. Speaking on behalf of the Muslim Ummah, Alhaji Nasir Awhelebe Uhor assured Governor Fubara of their unwavering support.

He also encouraged the governor to remain steadfast, reminding him that Islamic teachings emphasize that wealth, power, and authority are tests of faith.
